The murals at Northridge were sponsored by a grant from the City of L.A. Office Of Community Beautification. Part of the process was to have a contest to allow students and community members the chance to design a mural expressing values of Northridge. Myself and a few teachers and a student group picked two winners and two walls to paint the designs on. The Puma is the mascot of the school and is featured in both murals. I worked with the students to bring it from conception to reality which was a rewarding process. There was a great deal of enthusiasm from teachers and students which was inspiring.
