John Adams Middle School is named after the 2nd President of the United States who was one of the Founding  Fathers. The motto of the school is "The Patriot" and the mural communicates school values such as patriotism, freedom of speech and equal rights. The “Patriots” theme mural at John Adams includes political leaders, social activists and sports heros as well as regular folk. The background has a heart shape as well as a colorful background including those found in the American flag to convey the spirit of America.
