The mural includes some whimsy as it depicts jungle, California flora and fauna and animals and birds including the schools mascot --the California Condor.  The wall for mural was challenging as it contained steps and pipes and windows and trees and plants that had to be worked around. Volunteers including schoolchildren participated in the painting of the mural. This type of project is partly educational and one group that participated was a group of students with learning disabilities. It was such a pleasure working with them and they did amazing work. It’s all the hands that participated that make this community project special.The mural has enlivened the area and a garden and a reading area is now going to be placed adjacent to the  mural.
