“Cahuenga Centennial Garden Mural”

To celebrate Cahuenga Elementary’s 100th anniversary this mural was created. A century ago Cahuenga Gardens was in the neighborhood and is the schools namesake. It was decided for this reason a garden theme would be fitting and as the school has a multicultural nature it would be important to communicate this also in the mural.  Students were invited to research the National flowers from their native countries and then to do paintings of them. As the muralist I gained inspiration from the students art work and 27 flowers from around the world are showcased in the mural. Students, Teachers and Parents participated in the creation of the multicultural floral mural!
